Volcanology and Geofluids Research Group
The Arc Magmatism Research Laboratory is a research group in the Department
of Earth and Planetary Materials Science at Tohoku University. We study
evolution of island arc-trench systems, subduction process of oceanic plate
and its relation to magmatism and earthquake occurrence, origin of Earth's
water and global water circulation, and generation, ascent, emplacement,
evolution, and eruption processes of magmas.
