We are conducting high-P/T experiments to determine the physical property and the atomic structure of materials which constitute the Earth and other planets and to clarify the internal structure of such planets. Our research field is based on experimental petrology and mineral physics. Using the experimental results for microscopic mineral properties, we are investigatin what is happening inside the Earth and other planets. Our research is essential to comprehensive undetstanding on internal structure of planets, which cannot be observed directly, and the history of the Earth covering billions of years.

We are also visiting external research facilities. For example, we are performing in-situ high-P/T experiments at synchrotron facilities and high-P/T experiments and analyses of recovered sample at Bayerisches Geoinstitut.
